Support for Haiti.

I'm glad to see as of lately creatives are finally using their creativity to aid those in Haiti. Shepard Fairy and Studio Number One are releasing an awesome poster this Friday to raise money for those in Haiti. I also just found out about this awesome poster contest called The Haiti Poster Project . Newly announced performances by Ne-Yo, Justin Bieber, Keri Hilson, Chris Brown, Jazmine Sullivan, Pitbull, Akon, Ludacris, Mary J Blige, Robin Thicke, Monica, Kirk Franklin, Nas, and Damian Marley will captivate audiences while assisting in the efforts of raising donations for the devastated victims of Haiti. Hosted by Queen Latifah, Sean “Diddy” Combs and Pharrell, in partnership with Procter and Gamble and Pepsi, “SOS Saving Ourselves – Help for Haiti” will be taped at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, FL on February 5th at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT and will air simultaneously on BET, MTV, VH1 and CENTRIC. Proceeds of the telecast will go to four charitable organizations – Yele Haiti, CARE, Project MediShare and Children’s Safe Drinking Water.

L'UNION FAIT LA FORCE

I've been working STRENGTHTHROUGHUNITY.NET since i first heard about the earthquake in Haiti on January 12, 2010. This project is my way of helping out Haiti and was created to bring awareness to the recent situation in Haiti through design. It is my belief that design can change or influence the way a person thinks or acts. So with that belief in mind I set out to aid those in need of assistance in Haiti the best way we can through design. Buena Vista Deli

So today for lunch i hit up Buena Vista Deli which just opened last week. This deli comes from the awesome owners of Buena Vista cafe/Bistro. The deli is right next to the Cafe and by the old Amendment XXI lounge. I got the turkey sandwich which was pretty good but what i got for dessert was pure bliss. Their blue berry tarts are out of this world. I'd high recommend this place to any food lover as well as the cafe next store which is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. (I recommend the curry chicken)

OMG Hitler knows exactly how i feel about the iPad. But unlike him i still have faith in you Apple. I know your doing it this way to make money. I know you have the technology i want, just sitting.... You probably have technology ready that i can't even imagine.

So today apple announced it's new product the iPad . I've been waiting for Apple to release a tablet since i first saw 3rd party companies create them and use Apple operating systems on them years ago. The 3rd party ones I've seen can run the adobe suites and have Wacom capabilities.So with that being said I'm a little sad that the iPad isn't a computer that can run creative programs or any programs in fact. It's just an over sized iPod Touch when you step back and look at it. I still think it's cool but it's just not what i was hoping it was gonna be. Hopefully Jobs will get it right next time around.
