The Future of Publications?

I love the route their taking for advertising, making it interactive and all. Really nice job. I just hope that new option for "print" won't end actual printed publications.

Miami New Times X Lunch

If your from Miami then chances are you've picked up and read a Miami New Times. For all non Miamians New Times is a news print publication which has one good article and thousands of cheesy ads. Well they've now stepped it up by having a glossy cover and saddle binding the publication. So kudos to them. Also wanted to post this photo i took during lunch of my Gourmet's. I think it came out fresh.

New York State of Mind

So this week my office received the new issue of Gotham magazine which is the New York City version of Ocean Drive. On the cover was the big homie HOVA.



I was like "Fresh!" then i remembered i did an ad for Fontainebleau for this issue and i was like "Fuck." The reason being is there is a good chance Jay-Z saw the ad since he was on the cover and chances are he just skimmed over it, thinking nothing of it. That was an opportunity to make him say "This ad is fresh."


Quote on quote fresh ad's can be done by me for Fontainebleau but forces beyond my control prevent them from ever seeing the light of day. LOL. Oh well sooner or later I'll do a collaboration with Jay. Mark my words.

On a higher note Atlantis resorts in the Bahamas bit my newest ad for Fontainebleau that we've been running in the Miami Herald and New York Time for the past few weeks. Which is pretty sad because that ad wasn't all that great either. Well you know what they say though. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery.

AAC Press Check

So this past week for work, I took a trip over to Agnstrom Graphics in Hollywood to do a press check for the Fall Adrienne Arsht Center Brochre. I love going to the printers for stuff like this. It makes me fall in Love with Print all over again. Long Live Print! Here are some photos from the trip.

New York Times: Time Machine

The New York times has just launched a website that allows you to view 71 years of history and news. The site contains the very first issue of the New York Times September 18, 1851 to December 22, 1922. The site is awesome. You can download whole PDF's of the paper. From the issue that reported Lincolns assassination to the issue that reported the end of WWI. I wish i had this shit in middle school and high school. Kids today have it so damn easy. LOL.
