A few inspiring videos I watched this weekend. I love videos like these, they just really make me want to go out and create. The first video is call Undercity Film NYC, directed by Andrew Wonder. The Second video is on Scott Schuman aka the Sartorialist and the videos below that are a cool jeffstaple interview by SHHO. Lastly is a video by VBS.TV who recently launched a new series titled League of Two. The show’s theme was to highlight the relationships between close friends who incidentally work together through the realm of architecture, fashion, music, food and film. The attention turns to Partners and Spade who encompasses a brand, store and an agency. Enjoy! (UPDATE) Just saw this wonderful video of Massimo Vignelli and wanted to add it.

Art and Food

So for the lack of post just started a new job so I've been getting adjusted. These sets of photos are from two weekends ago. Saturday we hit up art walk which i hadn't been to in forever. Defiantly glad i went. Spinello Gallery was hosting a solo show for TYPOE which was pretty good. After wards we hit up OHWOW which was hosting a photo exhibit by Ari Marcopoulos . We then proceeded to drive through the hectic streets of Wynwood on our way to our friend Paloma's house to celebrate our friend Gems 30th B-Day. Good time there with good company. (Paloma your house is beautiful) Afterward we went to BAR for the OHWOW after party and ended the night at Dennys. (NASTY)
Sunday we went to the Fall of the Arts Festival at the Adrienne Arsht Center to check out a bunch of the food trucks that have been popping up all over the last few months. Ended the night with the VMA's which sucked except for Kanye's performance where Pusha T killed it with that Skin colored Blazer and shirt.

Art Basel: Report 6

Sunday was the last day of Art Basel and me and Alex decided to hit up some of the art fairs since we hadn't gone yet. The first place we went was to this random hotel on 14th and Collins to see some of Yonehara Yasumasa photo's. At first i was like why the hell would in be in this hotel, but once i went in one of the rooms it totally made sense. The hotel room looked like the rooms were he photographs the girls. His photo's were mounted all over the room. As i went to take a photograph i heard a shuffle in the Kitchen and out of no where Yone pop out. I was like "Oh Snap" in my mind. I say that a lot in my head.I also noticed his white and orange Polaroid camera on a coffee table that i've seen in numerous interviews with him. Super shy guy. I find that funny. But then again he is Japanese. After our run in with Yone we headed over to STAGES in downtown. This show was put on by the Lance Armstrong foundation and many of the artist in the show have somehow been effected by this fatal disease. Afterward we went to Wynwood to hit up Scope and Art Asia hitting up some small shows along the way. This year Art Asia was twice a big and better then last year. All in all i had an awesome time at Art Basel this year. Can't wait till next year. Special thanks to everyone that contributed to the good times.
